Get the best results from cosmetic Botox treatments, offered by Dr. Prussick Ron at Washington Dermatology Center

Growing older may be a natural part of life, but the signs of aging can cause distress in many of us, having a significant impact on our level of confidence and self-esteem. Research shows, as well, that how we look does play a role in our personal and professional relationships. Thanks to advances in modern medicine, we are all now more capable of regaining control over our aging process. We know that diet and exercise keep the body younger and cosmetic treatments like Botox and dermal fillers keep the skin looking its best.

Dr. Prussick is an experienced dermatologist who harnesses the power of Botox to help patients from Frederick, Rockville, and surrounding areas address problems like lines on the forehead. Men and women from our area visit Washington Dermatology Center to learn how they may achieve their aesthetic goals without having to undergo some type of invasive surgical procedure. During a comprehensive consultation, you can discuss the concerns you are facing and the goals you have for your skin. From this discussion, our team can design a plan of action tailored to your needs.

Addressing common areas of concern with Botox

Lines on the forehead, such as brow furrows, are well suited to Botox treatment. For these and other wrinkles on the upper third of the face, Botox is ideal because this solution addresses the underlying cause of such lines. Called “dynamic wrinkles,” those that appear on the upper third of the face tend to be caused by facial expression and movement. We use the same muscles day after day when frowning against bright sunlight or smiling at our children. In time, these muscles enter a state of constant contraction and those lines that once disappeared when we relaxed remain visible. In blocking the commands from the brain to contract facial muscles, Botox leads to smoother, younger looking skin. Botox has been used extensively for more than ten years in the Unites States, and even longer than that in Europe and other countries. We know this product to be extremely safe, with the most common side effects being temporary swelling or bruising from injections. Some patients may experience a mild headache that can be relieved with over the counter pain reducing medication. In the week following treatment, fine lines around the eyes, brow furrows, or lines across the forehead will progressively improve until, after about seven days, skin looks younger, more vibrant, more attractive.

Washington Dermatology Center has helped many men and women feel better about their image. Contact us to schedule your private consultation with our board certified dermatologist, and begin your rejuvenating journey.
