At Washington Dermatology Center, Dr. Ron Prussick and his team work closely with patients to help them develop treatment plans for their aging skin. This is the point when they may begin to notice fine lines and wrinkles, skin laxity, and other changes that start to occur due to the loss of collagen in their skin. Collagen loss happens very slowly, but these gradual reductions in collagen can cause problems. Botox is a neuromodulator that dermatologists have used over the years to help patients achieve a more youthful appearance. This change happens over the course of several days, and can last many months. Reinjection should be done at least twice a year.

Botox is safe and has been approved by the FDA for cosmetic and medical use.
